Thomas University waives SAT/ACT requirement for admission
Post Published On:With the COVID-19 pandemic canceling college entrance exam dates, Thomas University administrators decided to waive the requirement of an SAT or an ACT score for admission to its School of Arts and Sciences.
“Considering everything that’s happening right now, we just thought this is the right thing to do,” said Susan Backofen, Vice President for Enrollment. “We want to make sure that issues related to COVID-19 don’t keep a student from being admitted to Thomas University to start their college career.”
Without the SAT or ACT score, TU will instead use high school GPAs to make admissions decisions for traditional students.
TU also offers adult student the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree entirely online.
“Our online undergraduate programs are specifically designed for working adults,” Backofen said. “These students can earn college credit toward their degree from prior college credit, military service, workplace training or life experience.”
