Head Men’s and Women’s XC/ Track & Field Coach

Function:

The person in this position has complete oversight responsibility for the planning and administration of all aspects of the men’s and women’s XC/ Track & Field programs. The head men’s and women’s XC/Track & Field coach should build a sense of community and enthusiasm around the men’s and women’s XC/ Track & Field programs by engaging the student body, alumni, parents and fans. 

Reports to: Athletic Director

Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and retention of qualified student –athletes, who can be successful academically, socially, and athletically at Thomas University
  2. Coaching/practice and planning/preparation for the men’s and women’s XC/Track & Field programs
  3. Organization and execution of overall player development
  4. Include but is not limited to program budget oversight, scheduling, travel, management, and athletic training/skill development
  5. Game day operations and logistics
  6. Fundraising
  7. Support the University’s commitment to academic excellence
  8. Adhere to the guidelines/regulations of the NAIA, The SUN Conference, and Thomas University
  9. Track the academic progress of players
  10. Other job duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

Terms of Employment:

Full benefits, letter of employment, Full-Time, 12 month exempt position, 40 hours/week, hours will vary with season. Salary is commensurate with experience based on the department scale
