Assistant Professor of Social Work
DESCRIPTION:
Thomas University, an independent, not-for-profit, institution of higher education in Thomasville, Georgia with undergraduate and graduate programs invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in the Social Work Program. Reporting to the Social Work Program Director, the Assistant Professor will teach in the Bachelor of Social Work program. This program has on-campus and online courses. In addition to teaching responsibilities, full-time faculty members also serve on department and university committees, participate in community partnerships, collaborate on research and grant opportunities, and participate in professional organizations and conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
· Masters in Social Work
· A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in college/university settings
· Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker or equivalent
· Excellent instructional technology skills, preferably in Canvas
· Ability to learn new software and stay ahead of software updates and upgrade
Preferred Qualifications
· Doctorate in Social Work
· Five (5) years of related experience
· Ability to teach on the Thomas University Campus in Thomasville, GA
