Attendance and Participation in Classes

Thomas University expects that students will be in attendance and participate in all classes during the entire semester. Attendance and participation help to promote student learning and successful completion of academic goals.

On-Ground/Campus and Hybrid Courses

Students enrolled in on-ground or hybrid courses must attend at least one scheduled class or laboratory session during the first week of classes. Absence from these sessions during the first week will result in being recorded as a no-show for the semester and will result in being removed from the course without the ability to re-enroll.

Online Courses

Logging into an online course alone does not constitute attendance. To meet attendance requirements and remain enrolled, students must actively participate in course activities, which include but are not limited to:

First Week of Class Policy

No-Show Consequences:

Refund Policy

100% Tuition and Fee Refund: For classes canceled by the University.
