Meet the Admissions Team!

First-time and transfer students,  welcome to Thomas University’s main campus!  Courses and degree programs on-campus prepare students for a variety of professional careers.  Our faculty excel in their discipline and interact with each student personally.  They offer a high level of academic support and provide career advice helping students reach their unique potential.

The Office of Student Life offers on-campus students a variety of  activities to accommodate a wide range of interests.  Additionally, TU offers men’s and women’s athletics so students can cheer on their favorite team!

The Student Life Center is located on TU’s Magnolia Campus (click for map).  Also at this campus, is the newly renovated Night Hawk basketball gymnasium, a state-of-the-art student fitness center, a cutting-edge sports medicine facility, classrooms and dormitories. An additional dormitory facility is located on Pinetree Blvd (click for map)

The Forbes Campus (click for map) is home to administrative offices such as financial aid, registrar and student accounts.  The Spirit Shop, Success Advisors and the Hawks’ Nest grill are located in the Campus Center.

Located in the beautiful historic city of Thomasville, Georgia, Thomas University is a regionally accredited, non-profit university with a rich history.  TU provides an educational experience that explores and develops each student’s full potential.  Situated on 75 acres just 30 miles north of Tallahassee, Florida, TU offers associate, bachelor’s, master’s and education specialist degrees at our main campus, online and at satellite locations in Tallahassee and across Georgia.

While you are on campus, you will receive a tour of our facilities, meet with faculty, admissions, advising, financial aid and coaches.

Campus tours are offered Monday through Thursday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.   

  • If you would like to tour campus outside of these hours, including Saturdays, OR

Upon arrival on campus, park in the lot located off from Millpond Road.  Visitor parking is designated for your convenience.  Tours depart from the Office of Admissions, located in Building H on the Forbes Campus.

+Admission Requirements

On-Campus Freshman and first-time students
  • Application for Admission
  • Current high school students with a minimum high school GPA of 2.0. Students can be conditionally accepted with an in-progress transcript.  A final, official transcript is required prior to beginning classes. or
  • Official GED copy/score report.
  • Test Scores
    • ACT composite score of 18 or higher  OR
    • SAT composite score of 940 or higher  OR
    • Accuplacer exam administered in Admissions.
    • Adult students with no prior college-level coursework will take the Accuplacer assessment and must score at college-level.
    • Students with scores lower than those noted above may be considered for admission on an individual basis.
  • Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to a specific program. The divisions of Nursing, Education, Medical Laboratory Science and Social Work have additional admission requirements which must be met before a student can begin taking upper division classes in their degree program.

On-Campus Transfer students:  
  • Application for Admission
  • Official transcripts from all prior institutions.
    • A cumulative GPA lower than 2.0 may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to a specific college or department.
    • Students with fewer than 14 semester hours of transferable credit may be required to take the Accuplacer assessment or provide SAT or ACT scores for correct placement in English and Math.
    • Students who transfer in with fewer than 14 semester hours, must also submit an official high school transcript/GED certificate.Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or greater calculated on all prior coursework.

+Scholarships

Thomas University offers a variety of scholarships to recent high school graduates, including academic scholarships.   Current high school seniors must have either an ACT composite score of 20 or SAT composite score of 1040 to receive academic scholarships as listed below.

Transfer students completing an associate degree are also eligible for academic scholarships at the same amounts listed above.

Athletic and Activity scholarships are also available. Please note, Athletic and Academic scholarships cannot be used simultaneously.
