Director of Admissions
Position Overview:
The Director of Admissions reports to the Vice President of Military and Corporate Relations. This role is responsible for effective leadership, supervision, and processing of new students and administrative functions to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise admission representatives and admission office associates.
- Participate in the development of a comprehensive enrollment plan.
- Manage plan execution, review and approve travel calendars.
- Participate in admission recruitment, travel, and phone-call campaigns.
2. International Student Coordination:
- Ensure international student file completion and issuance of I-20s.
- Coordinate recruitment processes with identified partners (e.g., KTA).
3. Training and Skill Development:
- Develop and lead ongoing training for admissions staff related to effective recruitment and admission procedures.
- Oversee accurate completion of applicant files and file reviews, working closely with division chairs as needed.
4. Campus Visits and Communication:
- Ensure campus visits for individuals and groups are conducted professionally.
- Coordinate with the Vice President for Enrollment and Director of Marketing to ensure up-to-date and accurate collateral, website, and other recruiting communications.
5. Data Accuracy and Follow-Up:
- Oversee accuracy of data entry in computer systems.
- Monitor and review follow-up of inquiries and applicants to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
- Collaborate with enrollment support offices to ensure students complete the enrollment process (financial aid, student accounts, student success).
6. Positive Working Environment:
- Foster a positive working environment within the admissions team.
- Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
7. Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
· Record of successful sales and sales management.
· Prior college admissions experience preferred.
· Familiarity with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management software.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
· Public speaking experience.
· Experience working with high school, adult, military, and online markets highly preferred.
