Mary Beth Donalson

Mary Beth Donalson

 

Mary Beth Donalson (class of ‘98) was recently appointed president of the Rotary Club of Thomasville. She is the owner of Diversified Benefit Administrators, a third-party administrator that specializes in benefits consulting and management of partially self-funded employer-sponsored health plans.

Athletic Highlights

Flag Football

The Night Hawks won the Sun Conference regular season title and went on to compete in the NAIA National Championship game where they became the NAIA National Runner-Up. The Night Hawks ended the season with 19 victories.

Men’s Basketball Team

The men’s basketball team earned the University's first-ever berth into the NAIA Basketball Tournament. The team also tied the school record for the most victories with an 18-9 record.

Men’s Basketball Head Coach

Head Coach Collin Cotter was named Sun Conference Coach of the Year.

Men’s and Women’s Swimming

The men’s and women’s swimming teams set eight new team records. Two athletes were named NAIA All-American. Four others were named Sun Conference All Conference swimmers.

Men’s and Women’s Soccer

The men’s and women’s soccer teams both qualified for Conference Championship Tournaments.

Cross Country

The men’s cross country team had its first NAIA qualifier and All-Conference Athlete in TU cross country history.

Indoor Track & Field

One member of the team was a NAIA National Indoor Track & Field qualifier. Three athletes were named Sun Conference Academic All-Americans. Another was named the Sun Conference Champion of Character.

Outdoor Track & Field

The Outdoor Track & Field team had its first NAIA All-American in TU’s history. Four athletes were also NAIA National qualifiers.

Baseball Head Coach

Head Coach Tom Fleenor earned his 450th career win on March 10 with a 3-0 victory over Kansas Christian in Florida.

Softball

Women’s Softball qualified for the Conference Championship Tournament. Three players were selected for the Sun Conference All-Conference Team, and they all earned first-team selections. Ten Night Hawks made the Sun Conference All-Academic Team and Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes Team.

Academic Highlights

Many students from the Class of 2023 graduated with different distinction including Summa Cum Laude (3.9 Cumulative Grade Point Average or higher), Magna Cum Laude (3.7 GPA or higher) or Cum Laude (3.5 GPA or higher). Associate of Arts honor graduates are those students who graduate with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher. There were 31 students who earned Summa Cum Laude; 25 who earned Magna Cum Laude and 36 who earned Cum Laude distinction.
