Program Director of the Master of Science in Counseling Program
DESCRIPTION:
Thomas University, an independent, not-for-profit, institution of higher education in Thomasville, Georgia invites applications for the position of Program Director of the Master of Science in Counseling (MSC) program. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. The position requires teaching courses at the Master’s level in the MSC program, scholarship and service responsibilities, and MSC program leadership. Reporting to the Division Chair, the position is an online faculty appointment with administrative duties.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Earned doctorate in Counselor Ed and Supervision or other CACREP approved designation.
• Professional certification/licensure in one or more areas (LPC, CRC, School Counseling, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience developing and coordinating a program through leadership in program and curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation.
• Track record of successful collaboration and relationship building with industry partners and stakeholders.
• Expertise teaching online (Canvas is the preferred platform).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit good judgment in making decisions concurrent with University policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrated experience running co-curricular student organizations and/or service-learning programs.
• Successful experience with CACREP accreditation.
• Successful experience working with diverse student populations.
• Experience with Tevera.
