Thomas University Honors Undergraduates for Academic Excellence

Thomas University honored five outstanding students during the undergraduate commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 6 at the Forbes Campus. 

The graduates were recognized for demonstrating academic excellence throughout their time at TU. They earned division awards for their academic exceptionalism in their field of study.

They were Jessica Rand of Bainbridge, Georgia; Katie Carver of Hazlehurst, Georgia; Kayley Smith of Pensacola, Florida; Robin Jones Da Silva of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Anna Greek of Thomasville, Georgia. 

Division of Education 

Jessica Rand – As a mother of three children, Jessica graduates with a 4.0 GPA, and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  

Division of Health and Sciences 

Katie Carver – She graduates with a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. She plans to take a lab manager position at Dodge County Hospital.  

Division of Social and Behavioral Science 

Kayley Smith – While excelling on the soccer field for the women’s team, she maintained a 4.0 GPA and graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. 

Division of Business 

Robin Jones Da Silva – He is known as an academic achiever with a high aptitude for excellence. He graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.  

Division of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies

Anna Greek – She has a promising future ahead of her and is well on her way to shaping our nation’s future readers and writers with her bright and generous spirit. She graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies
