TU named a Top 10 Military Friendly School for third year in a row

Thomas University’s continued commitment to veterans and current military students resulted in TU being named to a Top 10 Military Friendly School® for 2020-2021. TU ranked 8th in the Top 10 List for private universities that do not offer doctorate degrees. TU has been named to the Military Friendly Schools list several times. This is the third year TU has made the Top 10 list.
The Military Friendly® School designation is determined by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM JobsSM, and Military Spouse. First published in 2009, Military Friendly® Schools is the most comprehensive, powerful resource for veterans today. Each year, the list of Military Friendly® Schools is provided to service members and their families, helping them select the best college, university, or trade school to receive the education and training needed to pursue a civilian career.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the school. Student survey data was also taken into consideration for the designation. A total of 1,693 schools participated in the 2020-2021 survey with 625 schools earning the Military Friendly® School designation.
TU ranked number 8 in the Top 10 category of private schools not offering doctorate degrees. (Thomas University does offer master’s and education specialist degrees.) TU was the only school in Georgia to make the Top 10 list in this category.
“Being named a Military Friendly® School is an incredible honor that emphasizes our commitment to serving military service members, their families and veterans,” said Susan Backofen, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “Being named one of the Top 10 schools proves that we go above and beyond for our military students. They served or are serving our country. It’s only right that we return the favor and help them obtain the best education possible.”
In addition to being published online at militaryfriendly.com, the list is also published in May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and the Guide to Military Friendly® Schools.
Thomas University allows military and veteran students the opportunity to receive credit from their military occupational series training, and offers a tuition discount to all active duty, National Guard, Reserve, DOD civilians and their spouses.Image
